North East England Tourism Awards

Each year the North East England Tourism Awards showcase the best that tourism has to offer in our region. The wide range of categories reflect the quality, performance and innovation of our tourism sector and give businesses the chance to show how they stand out from the crowd.

It’s an opportunity for you to achieve both regional and national recognition for the efforts you have put in to  tourism and sets a benchmark against which the rest of the North East England tourism industry can aspire.

The award winners form the regional heats of the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence and winners go on to take their place in the national finals to compete alongside the cream of UK tourism.

Due to the significant re-organisation of sub-national support for tourism this year, VisitEngland has reviewed the management of the Awards.

VisitEngland wants to ensure that all businesses in all parts of the country have an opportunity to participate. Businesses without local competitions can therefore for the first time apply directly via VisitEngland Awards for Excellence
